Pat Farmer Completes Pole to Pole Run

Former Liberal MP Pat Farmer has just completed an historic run from the North Pole to the South Pole. On behalf of the Coalition, I congratulate our former colleague for this extraordinary feat of willpower and endurance. Pat has been raising money for the Red Cross campaign to get clean water into developing communities, and it's typical of Pat's commitment to public service that he should have combined a personal goal with such a cause.

This latest feat follows Pat's earlier run around Australia to raise money for medical research in memory of his late wife. Pat is a remarkable Australian and is much missed by his federal parliamentary colleagues.
